About Us

A primary reason we opened Becoming Balanced is to allow ourselves to be able to find a balance in our lives that works best for us. As a result, we offer appointments at a variety of hours during the week which allows us to be flexible for our personal needs and be flexible to fit your needs. We want to be able to incorporate health and wellness into our daily routine as well as allow you that option as well; therefore, we will most likely be dressed in comfortable clothing that allows us to take advantage of the “treadmill office” during breaks or during individual sessions with clients.

Our long-term goal is to be able to offer access to services and practitioners, within the clinic, which focus on women’s health and wellness.  We currently offer Reiki services and group therapy.  We hope to soon offer even more services for women including yoga!

Our primary orientation is Cognitive Behavior Therapy (working on changing behaviors and thoughts to feel differently) and we pull from a variety of other orientations to meet everyone’s needs.

We provide evidence-based treatments for the following issues:

  • Adjustment to life stressors and transitions
  • Stress management
  • Self-care
  • Self-esteem
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
  • Distress related to infertility struggles
  • Difficulties adjusting to motherhood
  • Improve communication with others
  • Mindfulness
  • Challenges in managing health conditions and chronic disease including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and obesity.
  • Cognitive behavior therapy for insomnia
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder
  • Grief

We will be offering group classes focused on:

  • Stress management and self-care
  • Mindfulness
  • Posttraumatic Stress Disorder
