About Us

A primary reason we opened Becoming Balanced is so we could find a balance in our own lives, one that works well for us and allows us to offer that same flexibility to you. That’s why we offer appointments at a variety of hours throughout the week. We want to incorporate health and wellness into our own daily routines, just as we encourage you to do the same, so you may often find us dressed comfortably and ready to take advantage of a walking session, whether that’s during a break or an individual session with a client.

Our foundation is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), an approach that focuses on changing unhelpful thoughts and behaviors to help you feel differently. From there, our clinicians bring their own unique strengths to your care, with specializations in trauma, grief, sports counseling, and neurodiversity to name a few. Whatever your needs, we’ll work to match you with a clinician and approach that feels right for you.

We provide evidence-based treatment for a wide range of concerns, including:

  • Adjustment to life stressors and transitions
  • Stress management
  • Self-care
  • Self-esteem
  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders
  • Infertility-related distress
  • Adjusting to motherhood
  • Communication skills
  • Mindfulness
  • Managing chronic health conditions
  • Insomnia (using cognitive behavioral therapy)
  • Posttraumatic stress disorder
  • Grief
  • ADHD and other forms of neurodivergence

We also offer a variety of group therapy options throughout the year. Follow us on social media to see current groups and openings.
