Andrea Rognlien, MS, LPCC

Hello and welcome to Becoming Balanced. I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in North Dakota, providing therapy services here at Becoming Balanced. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Concordia College and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science as well as my master’s degree in Counseling and Student Affairs from Minnesota State University Moorhead. I have been providing therapy services for three years in the Fargo-Moorhead area. My passion for counseling is fueled by being able to provide support for individuals in their mental health journey. My goal as a counselor is to help women identify and achieve mental wellness in their daily life whether they are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, or other mental health conditions.

My experience as a mental health professional comes from working with adults as individuals and couples as well as adolescents in an outpatient clinic setting as an Employee Assistance Program counselor. In regard to my counseling approach, I typically work with strategies of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as well as utilize a Person-Centered Approach in order to meet you where you are with your mental health. My hope as a counselor is to take evidence-based approaches and tailor them, to create effective coping tools for your daily life.

In addition to this, I have a special interest in Sports Counseling and earned a graduate certificate in Sports Counseling from the California University of Pennsylvania. My involvement as an athlete and coach helped shape my understanding of the support athletes need in and out of their sport. I hope to provide a counseling space where athletes can grow in a holistic manner, focusing on mental wellbeing and psycho-emotional needs. Whether you are an avid runner, college athlete or a Saturday morning golfer, I am here to support you as the complete athlete you are!

I have spent my entire life in the Fargo-Moorhead community and wouldn’t have it any other way! In addition to my role as a counselor, I am also a dog owner and self-proclaimed cool aunt. I enjoy watching and playing a variety of sports including tennis, baseball, and hockey, but focused my athletic career on tennis, playing at both Concordia College and Minnesota State University Moorhead. Outside of work I love spending time with my family and small group of friends as well as going kayaking, walking my dog, and completing home projects.

I am overjoyed to be part of the team at Becoming Balanced, providing support to women on their mental health journey.
