SHE/HER/HERS
Rachel Blumhardt, Med, LPCC, LPC, NCC
Welcome to Becoming Balanced. I'm a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in North Dakota and Minnesota, providing therapy services here at Becoming Balanced. I'm also a Certified and Approved Counselor Supervisor in both states. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Minnesota State University Moorhead and my Master of Education in Counseling and Guidance from North Dakota State University. I've been providing counseling and clinical supervision in the Fargo-Moorhead community for 20 years and counting, and I’ve been part of the Becoming Balanced team since 2021. I'm certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and I hold Master certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) for trauma. I'm passionate about helping women heal from trauma and supporting them in living their best quality of life, whether they're navigating anxiety, depression, self-esteem, relationship issues, or other mental health concerns.
Much of my clinical experience has been working with adults, both individually and as couples, in an outpatient clinic setting. I also facilitate CPT women's trauma treatment groups, so if that's something you're interested in, let us know. My approach draws primarily from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and a Humanistic Person-Centered approach. My goal is to meet you where you're at and support you in finding balance mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I've been providing telehealth counseling since 2011 and can easily work with you in the office or from home, anywhere in North Dakota or Minnesota, insurance permitting. I also have over 10 years of experience providing both individual and group clinical supervision to newly licensed counselors, and I love supporting the next generation of therapists as they work toward their clinical and licensure goals.
I was born and raised in the Fargo-Moorhead area, where I live happily with my husband, two children, and two Schnauzers. Between raising our two amazing kids and keeping up with all their activities, I stay pretty busy, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Self-care for me looks like reading science fiction and fantasy novels, watching the latest superhero movie with my family, attending Scouting activities with my Scout Troop, and enjoying the outdoors.
Helping women find light in their darkest times, heal from past and current trauma, and build tools to improve their today and tomorrow is what brings me joy. It's a privilege and an honor to join my clients on their mental health healing journey, and I hope to be part of yours.
