When to switch your appointment to telehealth or reschedule!

Cold and flu season is upon us; therefore, we would like to remind everyone to switch appointments to telehealth or reschedule when you are not feeling well. Staying home when you are ill is one of those hard self-care things, we need to do for ourselves as adults. We understand people look forward to their appointments with us and we greatly appreciate every one of our clients. It is important to us to not spread illnesses as we serve people with compromised immune systems in our office who can become gravely ill from illnesses, even the common cold. Additionally, we love our work and hate to cancel appointments due to illness! We know it’s not always possible to do telehealth from home and we will do our best to find a time within a couple weeks for you to come in when you are feeling better. We try hard to be accommodating with our schedule and will continue to be as flexible as we can so you can be seen as soon as you are feeling better.

It is hard to know when to stay home and when to show up, so here is a list for you to reference.

Switch to telehealth or reschedule when:

    • You have a fever
    • You have had a fever within the last 24 hours (without medications to reduce fever)
    • If you have had any of these symptoms within the past 4-5 days.
      • Fever
      • Cough
      • Sore throat
      • Runny or stuffy nose
      • Muscle or body aches
      • Headaches
      • Fatigue
      • Sneezing
      • Moist, persistent, frequent coughing
      • Vomiting
      • Diarrhea
      • Rash that has been identified as contagious

We may ask you to reschedule if you arrive to our office with any of the above symptoms.

Thank you so much for understanding our concern!
